Friday Sessions

Speed and Agility | Technical Sessions

Spring 2021 Fridays 
Friday, February 12th - Friday, April 2nd

All current travel players all encouraged to participate in additional Speed & Agility and Technical Training sessions on Friday evenings. 
Sessions will be focused on ball mastery, injury prevention, speed training, and agility. 

Masks are required the entire duration of the session

Meet Your Coach

Erica Shingleton joins HCSA after spending the past three years as the Assistant Coach for the Young Harris College women's soccer program and the Head Coach of the developmental women's soccer program. She has helped lead the Mountain Lions to two consecutive Peach Belt Conference Tournaments. She is currently at Appalachian Regional Healthcare , Paul H. Broyhill Wellness Center as their Fitness Leader. 

Shingleton played soccer for two seasons at Lees-McRae College as a defender and outside midfielder. The Bobcats won 25 matches during those two years and advanced to semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament both seasons.

Shingleton earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University in 2013 and her Master's Degree in Exercise Science, with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning, from Appalachian State University in 2015. 
Prior to Young Harris, Shingleton spent two seasons coaching with the Navarre United Futbol Club working with the U15 Boys and U12 Girls teams. The teams finished in multiple tournament finals over the two years.

Shingleton also was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Mountain Lions for two seasons, has also has coached multiple summer camps over the past 10 years and did private lessons for soccer and speed and agility for four years. 

After hire at HCSA, Erica stated, "I am extremely excited to join the coaching staff at High Country United. I am grateful to Shane Calvert and Erin Barcal for the opportunity to get back in to coaching at the youth level. My greatest joy as a coach is to aid in player development and to grow the game of soccer, and I am looking forward to continuing to build upon what the club has achieved in recent years."



All Speed and Agility and Technical Sessions will be held at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex
