Soccer with a Philosophy

All of our programs follow a player development philosophy with emphasis on the enjoyment and development of individual players above all else.

Practices with a Curriculum

All of our programs are guided by an age and level appropriate curriculums, designed to develop player’s skills and enjoyment of soccer.

Licensed Coaching

All of our coaches are licensed, paid coaches. We ask parents to leave the coaching to our staff. Verbal instructions, directions, or coaching is NOT permitted from parents during practices and games.

Core Principles

Character – We believe a component of player development is character development. We aim to develop players who always display courage, determination, discipline, energy, humility, and respect on and off the field

Community – striving to build strong relations that value honesty, inclusion, and respect among our members

Passion – demonstrating devotion, excitement, joy, spirit and a willingness to make sacrifices to reach individual and collective goals

HCSA programs are designed to complement one another to form a player development progression from U4 to U19. A player development philosophy means our programs are developed in the best interests of developing individual soccer players technically, tactically, physically, and mentally to reach their full potential. It is the belief of HCSA that a player development approach to our philosophy is in the best interests in growing and developing the game of soccer and improving the overall quality of players.

The concept of player development is essential to the long-term growth and improvement of the player. Player development demands that “the player is central” to all decisions made regarding training and competition.

The chart below provides a guideline to HCSA’s focus on development versus match results at various ages through the player development progression.
