In the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, the first chapter covers how a large number of elite players have a birth date in the first three months of the year. This is also the book which popularized the 10,000 hour rule. Since the book was published in 2008 there has been a lot of debate for and against the rule.
It’s a great book either way and if you’d like to explore it more you can find it here. Also available in audio book for those long away game drives.
