Originally from Honduras, Marco has been a staff coach with HCSA since spring of 2017. He has worked with our U10 Academy as a coach and as a Program Director and coached multiple travel teams for both boys and girls groups. Marco grew up playing for Triangle Futbol Club (now NCFC) and Needham B. Broughton High School Capitals in Raleigh, NC. Currently, he coaches our U15 Girls.
USSF D LicenseEmail: [email protected]Originally from Buffalo, NY, Jeff Hoerner comes to HCSA with a wealth of experience and knowledge. He has over 30 years coaching experience at various levels throughout Youth Clubs, High Schools, and Colleges. Jeff has coached in New York, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina prior to moving to Boone. Currently, he coaches our U11 Boys and U16 Boys. He has been a staff coach with HCSA since fall 2021.
USSF D LicenseEmail: [email protected]Originally from Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England, Anthony Shellard will serve as our Academy Programs Technical Director. Anthony was born in the north of England where he was raised playing soccer. He played high school, college and for a while with a pro club. Anthony has a Masters Degree in Physical Education with a specialization in Exercise Physiology. He has worked as a soccer coach most of his life (35+ years) as well as a Personal Trainer in Florida. Anthony started a soccer program in 2001 which now has over 1800 participants. He loves the game and wants all of the High Country to do the same. Currently, he coaches our U12 Boys. He has been a staff coach with HCSA since fall 2020.
